The highlight of the week was the donor appreciation event at the IRT Cabaret on Wednesday evening where the dancers told stories of how they came to be in Indianapolis and part of Dance Kaleidoscope. I also asked them to share a "secret" that no one else knew about them. This was a fun way to get to know each of them a little better. In the studio we worked on solidifying the ground we had charted out in the previous two weeks. Cynthia is almost finished re-staging all of Love Letter, and I was able to do runthrus of both Love Songs and For Jose. Nick is getting further along in his piece, Love Key. I saw a runthru of what he has done so far, and it is wonderful, packed with intricate steps and featuring some of the younger company members. I'm sure that the audience is going to enjoy it very much. David |
