I'm sorry I haven't written my blog for a while!  We came back after Christmas vacation on December 27 and started work on the New Year's Eve performance.  After two days everyone was really sore after being off for two weeks, but we pushed ahead anyway.  The performance went off beautifully.  It is always a thrill to dance in front of the ISO, and the dancers looked especially beautiful and elegant in new white evening gowns for the women and white tie and tails for the men in the newly choreographed "Blue Danube Waltz!"  After the performance many audience members stopped me with glowing accolades.

After only one day off it was back to work on "Super Soul" which opens this week at the IRT Upper Stage.  It is a wonderfully upbeat show, and I think showcases the company in a marvelous way.  We have choreography by Cynthia Pratt, Nicholas Owens and myself, and I think patrons will be surprised by the differences in our responses to the "music of Mowtown, and more" when they see the show.  All three pieces have their own unique viewpoint and movement style, and of course the music is tremendous!  You can purchase tickets by calling the IRT box office 635-5252 or going on their web site www.irtlive.com
