We started work on Monday after a week off following the Magical Mystery Tour performances. Our next project is Old Blue Eyes to be performed Dec 6 - 16 at the IRT Upper Stage. Our permanent guest choreographer Cynthia Pratt and I are creating pieces to songs by Frank Sinatra and the "Rat Pack" for this one, and it's going to be a lot of fun! We got right to work, piecing back together what we had created in the weeks before. In this case, video is an invaluable tool to help us "remember" all of the steps, and makes the process much less time consuming. It was also very good to have Caitlin Negron (Swihart) back with us after a year and a half.

On Thursday our costume designer Cheryl Sparks showed up with most of the costumes that she has already made for the show! The dancers tried them on and as Cheryl and Michele Hankins, our costumer made their fitting adjustments Cynthia and I were able to take a look a them and let Cheryl know the changes that we wanted. Dance costuming is particularly tricky, since the dancers need to be able to move their limbs in them, but also they have to be tight enough to show off their bodies!

Happy Halloween!
