Annual Giving

In a typical season, ticket sales cover just a fraction of operations to present unparalleled repertory and to support educational programming and community engagement. As we continue to recover from the impact of the pandemic, we are relying on our supporters now more than ever.

Give one time or set up a recurring gift. No matter which way you give or how much, you make an impact on Dance Kaleidoscope.

Be sure to inquire about Employee Gift Matching. These programs are a great way to double your gift.

Legacy Giving

THE David Hochoy legacy circle

In 2023, to honor David Hochoy’s retirement after 32 as Artistic Director, Dance Kaleidoscope introduced the David Hochoy Legacy Circle. This special group recognizes donors who give $1000 or more annually.

Support of the David Hochoy Legacy Circle will enable Dance Kaleidoscope to preserve our past and define our future. This fund will provide immediate ongoing support for the reconstruction of works from our extensive repertoire, including works by David Hochoy, and the creation of new works from established and emerging choreographers.

Consider joining the David Hochoy Legacy Circle as a Founding Member with a three year pledge of $3000. (Contribute $1000 now, in year two and in year three).

Benefits Include

  • Invitations to exclusive events and priority reservations.
  • Special recognition in Dance Kaleidoscope programs.
  • Complimentary valet parking at the Indiana Repertory Theatre (IRT).
  • Complimentary drink vouchers for performances at IRT and Schrott Center for Arts.

The jaffee and hall emerging choreographer award

At Dance Kaleidoscope, we believe the best way to strengthen our future is to build upon our distinguished past. Therefore, we would like to honor the outstanding creative leadership of Cherri Jaffee, Artistic Director from 1977 to 1985, and Ginger Hall, Co-Artistic Director from 1985 to 1991.

This year, Dance Kaleidoscope will launch our first-ever emerging choreographer residency program. Open to applicants nationwide, the winning candidate will create a piece for the 24/25 season and receive THE JAFFEE AND HALL EMERGING CHOREOGRAPHER AWARD. The creation of this award aligns with our vision for the future: a future that seeks to expand our artistic voice by hosting guest choreographers each season.

Our fundraising goal for this inaugural program is $10,000. This encompasses a financial award for the winning choreographer and provides for their travel, housing, and the costuming of their world premiere piece.

Benefits Include

  • Special recognition in Dance Kaleidoscope programs.
  • An invitation to meet the winning choreographer.
  • The opportunity to experience the choreographer’s world-premiere first.

INTRODUCING THE ALLONGÉ SOCIETY

In dance, “allongé” means to extend or elongate. The Allongé Society has been established to recognize and honor those generous supporters who wish to extend the artistic impact of Dance Kaleidoscope for generations of dancers and dance enthusiasts to come. Members of The Allongé Society have made or notified Dance Kaleidoscope of their intention to make a legacy gift through their estate plans.
