About our Dance Program

Our goal for our youth program is to allow all to discover and experience dance and to build strong, well-rounded dancers in a safe, healthy and inspiring way.

We also offer summer camps and classes and private lessons. Whether your dancer needs audition preparation or help with a competition solo, our professional dancers and choreographers can support your dancer’s goals.

FAQ's

  • When do classes start?  Summer classes run from July 8, 2024 to August 13, 2024.
  • Is there an on-site waiting room for families? We have a “drop off/pick up” policy. This means that parents, caregivers, and siblings do not wait in the building during class. This allows us to create an atmosphere to support independence and dancer growth.
  • May I tour the space and meet instructors?  Yes! Arrange a tour at your convenience or plan for a tour on your student’s first day of class.  We also welcome you at open houses prior to the Fall 2024 Session: July 27, 11-1 PM and August 10, 1-3 PM.

Good Things To Know

  • When do classes start?  Summer classes run from July 8, 2024 to August 13, 2024.

  • We have a “drop off/pick up”policy. This means that parents/caregivers/siblings do not wait in the building during class. This allows us to create a pre-professional atmosphere that allows your student to focus on their independence and growth as a dancer. You will note we keep our doors locked and monitored for overall safety.  We welcome parents/caregivers/siblings in the building for special observation weeks several times throughout the year.

  • If you are new to Dance Kaleidoscope, we invite you to attend an open house, arrange a tour at your convenience or during your first class, come in for a quick tour and meet staff.

Does your child love to dance and perform?

Consider our Ensemble Program that gives your dancer the opportunity to learn choreography and provides multiple performance opportunities throughout the year at festivals like Penrod, senior centers and during special studio events.  Plus Ensemble students get to share the stage with Dance Kaleidoscope at a performance!

There are four Ensembles for ages 8+ — Ballet, 2 levels, Jazz, Modern and Hip Hop. Students in the Ensemble Program are required to take at least one additional class in the same genre.

Consider joining one of our dance Ensembles. Contact us for more information.

School Policies

  • Our current studio policy is that students are dropped off at the main entrance and picked up at the east end door. Parents and families are  invited in during scheduled observation weeks and end of semester showcases.
  • All students must be potty trained and able to dress themselves. Students should arrive dressed and ready to go before being dropped off at the studio.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment (3 student minimum).
  • No food, snacks, or drinks besides water in the building! Please ensure water bottles are tightly sealed, and no straws please.
  • If classes need to be canceled for any reason (weather, Covid, etc.) you will be notified via email and we will post on our social media pages.
  • If your child is sick, please keep them home so we can all stay healthy. We are happy to help you schedule a makeup class at the same or a lower level.

Dress Code

  • Everyone’s hair (boys and girls) must be pulled back off the face and neck for all classes. Please no toys, jewelry or accessories.

  • Do not wear dance shoes outdoors, this will damage them and will damage our dance floors.

  • Please mark all dance wear, shoes and personal items with your child’s name.

  • Cell phones must be turned off or on silent in their bags if a dancer must bring it to the studio.
